This charming studio cabin is 10 minutes from Yosemite Valley and conveniently located in Foresta on a paved road.   Foresta is one of the closest places you can stay with access to iconic Yosemite National Park destinations, Yosemite Valley, Tuolumne Meadows, the Merced & Tuolumne Rivers and the Groves of Sequoias. And you can explore right from the cabin, a few minutes walk and you are at  Crane Creek. The home has  lots of  shady oaks and pines nearby.

“Foresta is located within the boundaries of Yosemite National Park. Now known as an “inholding”, Foresta (Big Meadow) started as a pioneering area. Two ranches (McCauley and Meyers) provided beef, pork, dairy and vegetables to the Yosemite Valley hotels. In the twenties, it was sub-divided and given the name of Foresta. Created as an “artistic” community, musical gatherings were held by the creek. After the Great Depression, many lots were sold for back taxes. Approximately 75 homes were in use, either full time or seasonally, before the 1993 A-Rock fire destroyed most of them. About half of the homes were rebuilt. Fire has been a defining force in this area, showcasing Mother Nature’s endless cycles.”

Perfect for 2 people this romantic holiday cabin has a comfy queen size bed, a cute kitchenette with 2-burner gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, pots, pans & dishes. While we don’t offer an oven there is a propane BBQ for a favorite pastime, grilling in the outdoors!  The vacation rental cabin is equipped with a gas heater and A/C.  We also have satellite TV and WiFi, Verizon’s 4G network is also available.
